For years Ann Landers had a great response to the readers that asked if she thought that they should get a passionate Divorce. Ann's question grew:
"Are you better off with him or without these items? "
Sure cuts to the chase right?
A slightly different question
Often in my counseling/coaching office and in my writing, I like to experience that question and turn it on its head. The only way I can demonstrate your pet land theme by offering the following quote by Richard Needham according to marriage:
"You don't marry an individual; you marry three: who ever you think they seem to be, the person they have been, and the person this may become as the result of being married to give you support. "
That should stop you dwelling tracks.
What this question suggests is that instead of asking the question "Am I better off with or without my close friend? " we would do well to ask "Is my spouse better off with or at best without me? "
Some tough questions
How has your spouse benefited from being present? Have they grown into the finest version of themselves? Are you helping the idea grow or are you in the way?
If you really want to go out on a limb and considering a trip gutsy, you could ask your soulmate to answer these questions for your requirements.
